DTE originats from the one-man business Dr. Tauchnitz Engineering. In March 2004 the Company was founded by the chemists Dr. Jörg Hofmann and Dr. Heiko Tauchnitz in Merseburg a well known city with a famous historical cathedral and university of applied sciences. The company is based in the Merseburger Innovation and Technology Centre (MITZ) directly vis-ā-vis the university of applied sciences (FH Merseburg). New products are
composite catalyst stacks for carrying out such as oxidation reactions, high efficient sealed
membrane elements with plane seal faces for insertion in membrane modules,
flow initiators for coupling with membrane reactors, conventional membrane modules or laboratory equipment as well as special
back-impulse modules (RIP-modules). The flow initiators and RIP-modules are the core piece of the
high performance membrane technology.
Our service offering contains the formulation and processing of projects, technical advices, a CAD training course, the conception of prototypes, material tests by FEM-based stress analyses, the computer aided design of construction elements and special constructions, optional the plotting of technical drawings as well as the dimensioning of conventional and high performance membrane systems (HPMS).
In addition we offer our customers application-oriented engineering research services by use of new multifunctional catalytic and membrane processes including the chemical analysis for applications in the gas and liquid phase, if requested.
